Baby Eli
We welcome the new arrival of our second child, Eli. Born Thursday, February 19th at 5:31 p.m. He weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 21 1/4 inches long. He was born at 34 weeks and six days, so he had some preemie difficulties and has had to stay at the IMC NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) ever since he was born. He is doing much better now, and we hope to be able to bring him home soon. We love our dear Eli, and know he is a very unique and strong individual.

The labor started out in the morning at the Tooele Hospital. Then we were transferred by Helicopter to the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Eli at birth.

Eli's body wasn't breathing how it should and we weren't sure how things would turn out.

After 2 weeks things started to improve and now we are looking forward to his discharge from the hospital and his arrival at home.

Marilyn- Eli is soooo cute- it makes me want to have another(and that is saying alot!) I am excited for you to finally have him home and you can take care of him in your own home with privacy! it will be soon! yay!
He is gorgeous! Seriously - what a cute baby! I'm glad he is doing better and can't wait for you to get to bring him home. What a cute cute boy!
Eli looks a little shell-shocked in some of his pictures...as I'm sure any of us would be, if that was our first introduction to the planet. "You want to put tubes WHERE on my body?" "Heavy doses of antibiotics my first week here, are you kidding?" "Heavenly Father didn't put THIS in the brochure..."
